Class Information
Grayhawk Yoga is dedicated to giving yoga students a diverse class selection that will help inspire a complete mind, body and spirit connection. Please keep in mind, we want you to have the best yoga experience as possible, so make sure you are attending the appropriate level class for yourself.
Beginner - Focusing on yogic breath, fundamental yoga postures and basic sequencing in order to build and maintain strength, flexibility and focus. These classes suitable for the beginning yoga student, as well as the advanced yoga student who enjoy a gentler, slower class.
Beginner/Intermediate - Active and challenging practice. Some yoga experience recommended. Must have solid foundation of basic standing yoga postures and of sun salutations.
Intermediate/Advanced - Yoga experience is required. Please no beginning yoga students in intermediate/advanced classes.
Beginner's Basics
Beginner - This class will break down basic yoga postures, proper alignment and yogic breath. Great for anyone brand new to yoga or if you want assistance with your yoga practice. Come ready to learn, balance, breathe and most importantly have fun!
Basics
All Levels - Develop body awareness, learn basic postures, proper alignment, and how to sequence your breath and movement together. This is a class for beginning students or students wanting to understand and practice fundamental yoga postures.
Basic Flow
All Levels - Link breath with movement in this graceful, flowing practice. Builds heat in the body, develops strength, flexibility, and stamina. This class moves at a slower pace them our regular flow classes, and is a great class for basics students transitioning into flow classes or any student looking for a gentler, slower paced class. Knowledge of sun salutations and basic standing postures is highly recommended for the best experience possible.
Sunrise Yoga
Beginner/Intermediate - This class is suitable for everyone with some yoga experience and knowledge, beginners to advanced practitioners. Gain flexibility, strength, and balance through a variety of physical postures and breath work. This class is centered around fundamental yoga postures, basic sequencing, with Ashtanga roots. Posture levels and variations will be offered to enhance the experience of all students attending.
Power
Intermediate/Advanced - Get ready to move and sweat! This energetic class is driven by vigorous and challenging postures that will burn calories, build strength, and increase flexibility.
Flow
Intermediate - Link breath with movement in this graceful, flowing practice. Build heat in the body, develop strength, flexibility, and stamina. Must have solid foundation of sun salutations and basic standing and seated postures. This class is for intermediate to advanced practitioners, who are able to work on intermediate postures, backbends and inversions. Come with an open heart and mind.
Yin
All Levels - Yoga isn’t always about the “doing” sometimes it is about the “undoing.” In this class you will relax, unwind, renew and re-energize. With slow movements, passive release, breath work, and great music. It is a class everyone will enjoy and should attend at least once a week. The Yin to your Yang!
Restorative
All Levels - Restorative yoga is a meditative class. You hold meditative poses in which the body is supported with props and held for extended periods of time. Both soothing and regenerating, restorative poses help bring balance to our demanding daily lives. This class is an imparative addition to an active lifestyle.
